Deschutes Veterinary Clinic, P.C.

We are your other Family Doctors!

About Us....

Deschutes Veterinary Clinic is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We have been serving the Central Oregon community for over 30 years and our Staff consists of 7 Doctors, 4 Licensed Veterinary Technicians, as well as a robust support staff.

"Life Long Care for Our Best Friends"

We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with referral practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, two in-hospital surgery suites, in-house digital x-ray capabilities, ultrasound services, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and an enclosed outdoor walking area for hospitalized patients.

Pain control is the #1 priority here at DVC, so we make a concerted effort to proactively treat pain before, during and after all procedures. We want all of our patients to go home as comfortable and happy as possible.  In addition, our anesthesia protocols are on par with local human hospital anesthetic protocols.  Very few veterinary clinics can make this claim.

Another unique feature of our clinic is the time we spend with you and your pet. DVC schedules appointments for both doctors and technicians on a 30 minute interval, versus most other clinics who schedule on a 10 to 20 minute interval.  We believe in taking the time to get to know your pet and not be rushed, and being able to spend the time needed for an adequate exam.

We do not perform non-medical cosmetic surgery (tail docking, ear cropping, declawing) or convenience euthanasia

At Deschutes Veterinary Clinic we strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal and compassionate veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.
